The museum was founded in 1824 by King Carlo Felice of Savoy and originally housed in the Royal Palace of Turin. Over the years, the museum’s collection grew significantly and in 1889 it moved to its current location, which is a purpose-built building to house the vast Egyptian collection.
The Egyptian Museum of Turin boasts one of the richest and most complete Egyptian collections in the world, with over 30,000 exhibits, including statues, sarcophagi, papyri, jewels and objects of daily life from ancient Egypt. Among his most famous works are the statue of Ramses II, the sarcophagus of Kha and Merit, and the mastaba of Nebamun.

TOUR PROGRAM
- 8.30 am departure with NCC service (rental with driver) towards Turin
- 10.30 am arrival in the center of Turin in Piazza Carignano (at the Del Cambio restaurant), meeting with the CulturalWay tour guide and start of the tour
- 1.30 pm end of tour and end of tour guide service, customers free in the center of Turin for lunch and shopping (customers will be given a very comprehensive map of the center of Turin indicating the meeting place)
- 3.30 pm meeting in Piazza Carignano (c/o Ristorante Del Cambio) for the return to Liguria
